McDonald’s Grand Big Mac Review

So unless you’re hiding out in a cave today, you’ve probably heard the mouth-watering news. McDonald’s have launched a new burger in the UK. Well, two, actually.

To celebrate 50 years since the inception of the Big Mac in the USA in 1968, McDonald’s have today launched the Mac Jr. and Grand Big Mac alongside the normal Big Mac in the UK. But, as all good things must come to an end, you can only enjoy them until 20th March. Grrr!

What McDonald’s are saying about the Grand Big Mac:

Bigger sesame topped buns, bigger 100% beef patties, two slices of cheese, and all the rest. Including that sauce, of course.

Well, today I decided to be a true foodie (piglet) and went to McDonald’s at 11:30AM. I couldn’t even wait until lunch. As a Big Mac lover I just had to try the new Grand Big Mac.

And it is fucking huge. Absolutely enormous. Bigger than I thought it’d be.

For a start, the Grand Big Mac burger box looks like it should be sliding around in the back of a DPD delivery van hiding a 52-inch TV. But it’s not, it’s holding a burger. A big, fat, overgrown, American-style burger that leaves you wondering why they’ve given you fries with it.

It’s delicious. In fact, I’m going to get another one for dinner. Because YOLO.

My meal of choice is always a Big Mac meal, so I’m obviously on cloud nine right now. It’s exactly the same awesome Big Mac taste, but you enjoy it longer, and it’s even messier. I love it.

I haven’t tried the Jr. Big Mac yet, maybe I’ll get one to try with the Grand later.

Grand Big Mac Cost: £3.99

Grand Big Mac Calories: 741

Yes, that’s right. 741 calories means the Grand Big Mac contains over 200 calories more than the standard Big Mac. That’s all you need to know to believe that it’s bigger. Much bigger.

Remember, this dream dies 20th March. Get to McDonald’s and destroy a few!
