I’ve been nominated by the lovely Katy from Katy Kicker to do a blogger Q&A. Hopefully these questions will help you to get to know the man behind this blog a little bit more.
When was the last time you cried?
Yesterday – I was watching the performance of ‘This Is Me’ from The Greatest Showman by Keala Settle from The Oscars and shed a little tear or two. I just love that film and all of the songs from the soundtrack, and that song is especially powerful and touching. Especially live.
I have started to notice recently that since having my kids I’m a much more emotional person than I ever was before. I will literally cry at anything these days haha.
Here’s that performance from Keala:
If you were another person, would you be a friend of yourself?
I would say so, yeah. A few years ago I would have definitely said no because to be honest I was a bit of an asshole, but these days I’m a completely different person. Fighting through multiple business failures, having kids and struggling with health anxiety have given me a fresh, clear and more positive perspective on life and people. I’m humble, kind, giving, loyal and honest.
Do you use sarcasm a lot?
Thinking about it, no I don’t think I do. I used it much more when I was younger.
What’s the first thing you notice about people?
Physically, if they’re female, it would have to be eyes, hair, smile and ass. Haha!
Generally, though, I ALWAYS notice other people’s manners and I’m continuously amazed at just how many people don’t use a simple please or thank you during their day-to-day lives.
Scary movie or happy endings?
I enjoy both it just depends on the mood.
I like the smell of coffee yet I don’t enjoy drinking it. Strange huh? I also love the smell of lavender, especially in candles and bubble bath, also fresh toast, marzipan and beans.
What’s the furthest you’ve ever been from home?
Canada. I think it was a 10 or 11-hour flight each time I went.
Do you have any special talents?
I don’t think you can call a honed skill like playing Pool a talent, right? But I can play left-handed very well and I can also get strikes bowling left-handed. Maybe a talent? I don’t know.
Where were you born?
What are your hobbies?
Playing pool is my favourite thing to do. Also enjoy bowling, going to the cinema as often as I can, random long and pointless drives anywhere and blogging.
What did you want to be when you grew up?
The first thing I ever wanted to be was a fireman because my uncle was one, but then after going on my first ever flight to Cyprus I instantly wanted to be a pilot. I remember my lovely English teacher in Primary School, Mrs. Cunningham, gave me a book showing all of the controls and other information. Once I discovered HTML, however, I wanted to be a web designer.
After all of that I became an SEO (internet marketing). Funny how things change.
How many countries have you been to?
Only 6 – Canada, France, Cyprus, Italy, Spain and Switzerland. I don’t like going abroad.
What was your favourite/worst subject in School?
I was a geek so of course my favourite subject was ICT. I didn’t enjoy any other subjects.
What is your Favourite drink?
Ooh, well I LOVE Root Beer (A&W and MUG). Also Cherry Pepsi Max, Monster Energy Drinks (Ripper Juice), Dandelion and Burdock and Dr Pepper. I don’t drink alcohol.
What would you (or have you) named your children?
We called my first daughter, who we sadly lost, Pixie. It’s such a pretty name. We called my second daughter Poppy, and then we named my son Marty after his daddy! 🙂
Who are some of your favourite YouTubers?
Joe Rogan, Joey Diaz, TigerBelly and The Fighter The Kid.
How many girlfriends have you had?
Not many to be honest. I had 3 serious but short relationships followed by a 2-year relationship, a 6-year relationship and most recently a 7-month relationship. Right now I’m single.
Favourite memory from childhood?
Oh that’s such a hard decision. I’ll pick a funny one that springs to mind.
One day my brother, cousins and I went to Ainsdale Beach in Southport with my auntie and Nan. We were only kids, but my cousin was throwing pebbles on the beach and I shit you not, a seagull caught one of them and threw it back at him. It bounced off his head and he cried his eyes out.
Seriously, it happened! That memory always cracks me up. So funny.
How would you describe your fashion sense?
I’d describe my fashion sense more as a homeless sense. I’m such a basic bitch.
Tell us one of your bad habits!
Biting my nails. And not just biting them, I also throw them all over the house like some sort of farm animal. I don’t know whether to laugh or cry for admitting that. Hahaha.
Okay so that concludes my blogger Q&A. Hope you enjoyed it.
