WrestleMania 34

WrestleMania 34

Last night I stayed up all night and watched WrestleMania 34, something I never thought I’d do after I stopped watching WWE back when it was the WWF. Those were the days.

There are two reasons why I decided to watch it:

1. Ronda Rousey

Ronda was making her match debut at WWE in a tag team match with Kurt Angle against Triple H and Stephanie McMahon and, from what I see and hear online, it ended up being the highlight of the event for most wrestling fans. It was a really good match. Ronda was awesome.

I was a big fan of Ronda Rousey back when she was fighting in the UFC, but she’s been pretty quiet since losing to Amanda Nunes at UFC 207 so I wanted to see how she did in WWE.

She won her debut match after catching Stephanie McMahon in an armbar.

2. Brock Lesnar

I had never watched Brock in the WWE before, but I became a fan of his when he entered the UFC many moons ago and showed what an impressive physical specimen he is by dominating Frank Mir in destructive fashion before being caught in a crafty kneebar. He then put on a wrestling clinic in dismantling Heath Herring before finishing Frank Mir in their rematch.

It’s great seeing Brock Lesnar performing in the WWE because it’s just so impressive that a man of his size can be so fast and agile. I love seeing him manhandle people. Man crushing haha.

He faced Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 34 and took him to suplex city, bitch.

Oh. Oh. Oh. And.

The Undertaker made an appearance at WrestleMania 34. And it was awesome.

I’m not ashamed to admit that I got that feeling I had back when I watched WWF with Kane, The Undertaker, The Rock, Mick Foley, Stone Cold, Triple H, Big Show and Kurt Angle.

It was John Cena who faced off against The Undertaker, although it wasn’t scheduled. John had been calling for it and then the dead man showed up on the night to whoop some ass. The match was about 3 minutes long after a 20 minute intro. But the intro was amazing. I was buzzing.

WrestleMania 34 was really good and I’m glad I stayed up to watch it. It made me feel like a kid again and, you have to admit, they provides great production and entertainment value.

Best of all, I didn’t pay to watch it. I watched on WWE Network using a free trial.
